Our very own 3L Moot Court Member, Elaine Carbuccia, delivered an oral argument before the Third District Court of Appeal held an official session in the Moot Court Room at St. Thomas University School of Law on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, supported by Marlene Brito and supervised by Professor Howard Blumberg. Elaine Carbuccia is a certified legal intern in the Appellate Litigation Clinic under the supervision of Assistant Public Defender Howard K. Blumberg. Elaine, along with her partner, Marlene Brito, represent Public Defender clients in their appeals before the Third District Court of Appeal of Florida during the year-long Externship Program. Opposing Counsel, Christina (Fernandez) Dominguez, is a St. Thomas Alum and former Moot Court Board member, now working for the Office of the Attorney General.
